Ciao Pavarotti (1935-2007)
No soy muy fanático de la ópera, pero extrañaré a Pavarotti. Más allá de su virtuosismo, creo que tuvo dos grandes aportaciones. Una de ellas fue popularizar la ópera con su participación en los conciertos de Los Tres Tenores. La otra fue abrir la ópera a nuevos caminos con proyectos como “Pavarotti & Friends”, donde hacía duetos con músicos de otros géneros. Mis colaboraciones favoritas son Miss Sarajevo, con U2 y esta joya.

I’m not a big fan of opera, but I’ll miss Pavarotti. Beyond being a virtuoso, I think he did two great things. One of them wwas popularizing opera by participating in the Three Tenors concerts. The other one was opening up opera for new paths with projects like Pavarotti & Friends, where he did duets with musicians of other genres. My favorite collaborations are Miss Sarajevo, with U2 and this gem.
